<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device that compensates for variations in Vth of OLED driving TFTs in a short time and eliminates a screen luminance gradient. <P>SOLUTION: In Fig.1(a), before a reset TFT switch 5 and a lighting TFT switch 2 trigger the action of resetting Vth of the OLED driving TFT 3, a pre-charge TFT switch 7 supplies a pre-charge voltage to shorten the reset time. The pre-charge voltage is modulated according to position to compensate for the effect of a supply potential change due to the resistance of a power line 51.
