PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for plasma display which is superior in transmitted image clearness, and at the same time, has very satisfactory reflection reducing effects. SOLUTION: The filter for a plasma display panel has a laminated constitution, containing at lest a transparent substrate and exhibits on its one face (face A), a center-line average roughness Ra≥50 nm and≤500 nm, a ten-point average roughness Rz≥0.5μm and≤5μm, an average pitch of unevenness Sm≥30μm and≤500μm, and average tilt angle ofθa≥0.5 deg and≤5 deg.
