#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a layer sequence with an electrode (2) i.e. anode, a radiation-emitting layer (3) on the electrode, and another electrode (4) i.e. cathode, on the radiation-emitting layer. The sequence is arranged on a substrate (1) that comprises side surfaces (A) and main surfaces (B) and is transparent to radiation. A third electrode arranged between the substrate and radiation-emitting layer is transparent to the emitted radiation.
