摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a station-side communication apparatus for ensuring the efficient usage of a communication bandwidth concerning an optical communication system including a plurality of kinds of subscriber-side communication apparatuses with different bandwidths. <P>SOLUTION: The station-side communication apparatus stores the first subscriber-side communication apparatus and the second subscriber-side communication apparatus capable of performing communication at higher speed than the first subscriber-side communication apparatus, where its communication speed with an external network is higher than that of the first subscriber-side communication apparatus and equal to or less than that of the second subscriber-side communication apparatus. The station-side communication apparatus includes: a multicast monitoring part (11) for acquiring distribution request signal information which indicates a multicast signal whose distribution is requested by a terminal stored in the first subscriber-side communication apparatus; and a multicast traffic control part (12) for transferring the multicast signal to the second subscriber-side communication apparatus unconditionally, and transferring it to the first subscriber-side communication apparatus when the multicast signal corresponds to the distribution request signal information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
