<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely determine the timing for replacement of a motor apparatus, having its own life time, by itself. <P>SOLUTION: The motor apparatus comprises a rotor 22 which rotates when a drive signal is applied, and drive parts 16, Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 which generate drive signals when applied with power supply. The present invention is applied to the motor apparatus which comprises a nonvolatile memory 37 that stores the information about the state of rotor, and a holding part 32 for holding supply of power source only during a time period at least required for writing to the nonvolatile memory 37 if supply of power source is stopped.
