<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive resin printing plate original form free from breakage, scratches or pinholes in a thermosensitive mask layer on peeling a cover film, allowing the thermosensitive mask layer to be quickly removed by melting on irradiation with IR laser light and facilitating computer platemaking by which a high-quality resin letterpress printing plate can be produced. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive resin printing plate original form includes, on a substrate, a photosensitive resin layer (A) containing a resin soluble or dispersible in water and monomers curable with UV rays, an adhesion strength adjusting layer (B), a thermosensitive mask layer (C) containing an IR absorbing substance, a release assistant layer (D) and a cover film (E) having a surface roughness Ra from 0.1 to 0.6 μm on the face in contact with the release assistant layer (D).
