<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone system in which a call under speech or a terminated call can be transferred to a target telephone set through simple operation without the need to dial a transfer destination. <P>SOLUTION: When transferring a call under speech to a wired telephone set 4A while a wireless telephone set 3A is under the relevant speech with a call destination terminal 6, for example, an operator of the wireless telephone set 3A first carries the relevant telephone set 3A with him/her, goes to the vicinity of the wired telephone set 4A, reads a telephone number by touching a radio tag 49A of the wired telephone set 4A with a radio reader 38A of the wireless telephone set 3A, and transmits a transfer request to a master unit 1 with the telephone number as a transfer destination.
