PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image editing apparatus capable of setting an appropriate horizontal-to-vertical rate when outputting edited image data. SOLUTION: The image editing apparatus which edits and outputs a plurality of images has: an image size acquiring means (step S130) for acquiring sizes of each image to be edited; a first selecting means (step S160) for selecting which images are larger in quantity, vertically long images or horizontally long images, with respect to the acquired sizes of each image; a second selecting means (step S180 and step S200) for selecting a horizontal-to-vertical rate of the images in the largest quantity from among the sizes of each image selected by a first determining means and determined as being larger in quantity; and an image data outputting means for outputting edited images based on the horizontal-to-vertical rate determined as being the largest in quantity by a second determining means.
