PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parameter setting method for a radio unit of a measuring instrument in which a function of a measuring device comprising a display capable of arbitrary digital display is utilized to set parameters of various radio units without affecting sizes and weights of the radio units. SOLUTION: A parameter setting method for a radio unit of a measuring instrument includes: providing at least two setting buttons in the radio unit in the measuring instrument constituted of a function capable of digitally displaying measurement data, a measuring device capable of sending out the measurement data and the radio unit capable of wirelessly transmitting the digital measurement data from the measuring device; providing a control means capable of selecting beforehand a parameter in accordance with the digital measurement data and operations of the setting buttons in the radio unit; determining the parameter to be set based on a digital measurement data value from the measuring device and operational information of the setting buttons by the control means; and setting the determined parameter to the radio unit.
