PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium measurement method for obtaining a correct quantitative result of each luminescent color from each cell, and observing an expression process of gene derived by calcium and a subsequent aspect of a cell differentiation, after a change in a calcium ion concentration of the same cell has been observed temporally. SOLUTION: The calcium measurement method prepares the luminescence-labeled cell for emitting a luminescence depending on the calcium ion concentration; repeatedly captures luminescent images of the prepared cell, while a predetermined stimulation is applied from the outside to the cell at predetermined timing; and temporally measures the luminescent intensity of the luminescence emitted from the cell, based on a plurality of the captured luminescent images.
