PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a pulse even when multipath disturbance occurs in a pulse transmitted/received between an airplane and DME or noise is superposed thereon. SOLUTION: This detection method of a twin pulse includes: a step of inputting a signal including a twin pulse; a first calculation step of obtaining a result of multiplication of the signal by a first delay signal obtained by delaying the signal with a predetermined pulse width as a pulse detection signal representing the pulse included in the signal; and a second calculation step of using a result of multiplication of the pulse detection signal by a second delay signal obtained by delaying the pulse detection signal with a predetermined pulse interval as a twin pulse detection signal representing the twin pulse included in the signal.
