PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an astringent cosmetic providing not only skin-care effects but also high astringent effects in skin care by fewer steps and fewer number of items. SOLUTION: A water-in-oil type emulsion composition containing≥50 mass% water and≤1 mass% alcohol formulated therewith, and having 1,000-20,000 mPa s viscosity at 30°C is applied on the skin by patting.
