PISTON MACHINE

The inventive piston machine can be used in engine- and compressor-building for producing internal combustion engines used for automobiles, small aeroplanes, small water-born vehicles and for power plants. The piston machine is provided with at least one module with two oppositely placed sections, each of which comprises cylinders (1) with combustion chambers (5) which contain, arranged therein, pistons (2) kinematically coupled to piston rods (3) and cranks (4). The axes of the section crank gears are arranged in parallel to a power-take off shaft (7). The intermeshing toothed wheels (8, 9) of a synchroniser are fixed to the cranks (4), theaxes of which are in parallel position to each other. The power-take off shaft (7) is kinematically coupled to the synchroniser. In order to simplify the structural design, the kinematic coupling of the synchroniser to the power-take off shaft may be in the form a toothed wheel which is mounted on the power-take off shaft in such a way as to interact with any of the toothed wheels of the synchroniser. The opposite position of the module sections and the mounting and coaxial connection of the cranks of each subsequent module to the cranks of the previous module makes it possible to simplify the structure and to increase the reliability thereof.
