<p>An error-detecting device of a multi-type air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to prevent problems caused by communication errors by detecting the communication errors in advance, thereby improving the reliability of the air conditioner. An error-detecting device(100) of a multi-type air conditioner includes a voltage sensor part(110), and a controller(130). The voltage sensor part senses communication voltages of the multi-type air conditioner. The controller compares the communication voltage with a reference voltage. If the communication voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the controller changes the reference voltage so as to precisely detect communication errors of the air conditioner. Such a changed reference voltage is lower than the previous one.</p> |
