A filter apparatus having a filter screen cleaner is provided to reduce the holding space of the filter apparatus and prevent foreign materials from accumulating on an inner part of the filter screen cleaner. A filter apparatus having a filter screen cleaner comprises: a main body(100) having an inlet(700) and an outlet(800); a filter screen(200) installed in the main body; a gear housing(110) formed in an upper part of the main body; a suction pipe(300) which is installed at an inner side of the filter screen and extends to an inner part of the gear housing; a connection member(410) connected to the suction pipe to seal an upper end of the suction pipe; a fixing member(120) which is installed in the gear housing, and into which the connection member is inserted; a drive shaft(400) connected to a front end of the connection member; a suction rod(310) projected from an outer surface of the suction pipe; a discharge pipe(320) connected to a lower end of the suction pipe; and a drive part(500) connected to a drive shaft. The main body has an inlet and an outlet. The filter screen is installed in the main body.
