摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for starting a fuel cell system capable of surely preventing the oxidation/degradation of an anode by surely performing reformation from an early stage. <P>SOLUTION: The method is for starting a fuel cell system having a reformer for reforming a hydrocarbon-based fuel and a high-temperature type fuel cell, wherein (a) M pieces of flow rates F<SB>j</SB>are preset as a fuel flow rate, wherein M is an integer of 2 or more, 0<F<SB>1</SB>, F<SB>j</SB><F<SB>j+1</SB>(wherein j is an integer between 1 and M-1) and F<SB>M</SB>is a fuel flow rate upon start completion, (b) the temperature of a reforming catalyst layer is elevated in measuring the temperature of the reforming catalyst layer, (c) a fuel flow rate F<SP>R</SP>capable of being reformed is calculated based on the measured temperature, (d) F=0 when F<SP>R</SP><F<SB>1</SB>, F=F<SB>j</SB>when F<SB>j</SB>&le;F<SP>R</SP><F<SB>j+1</SB>(wherein j is an integer between 1 and M-1) and F=F<SB>M</SB>when F<SB>M</SB>&le;F<SP>R</SP>, and (e) when F exceeds the current value of the fuel flow rate, the fuel of the flow rate F is supplied to the catalyst layer and the reformed gas obtained by reformation is supplied to a fuel cell anode, and the processes from (c) to (e) are repeated until the fuel supply amount to the catalyst layer reaches F<SB>M</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
