摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee airbag device attached to a glove door capable of reducing damage to an occupant by a glove door outer when a knee airbag deploys as compared with a conventional device. <P>SOLUTION: A thin wall part 26 whose wall thickness is reduced as compared with other parts of a tier inside part 25 is provided on the periphery of the tier inside part 25 of the glove door outer 21. Thus, the rigidity of the peripheral part of the tier inside part 25 of the glove door outer 21 can be reduced as compared with the case when the thin wall part 26 is not provided. Therefore, when the tier inside part 25 of the glove door outer 21 opens and the knee airbag (31) deploys, the damage to the occupant (the load on the knee part of the occupant) can be reduced as compared with a conventional device if the peripheral part of the tier inside part 25 of the glove outer 21 hits the occupant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
