<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for carrying out control so that a first sheet of recording material and recording material from a second sheet onward can be fixed at the suitable temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with at least a transfer means for transferring a toner image formed on an image carrier to the recording material, a recording material storing means for storing the recording material and a fixing means for fixing the toner image which is transferred on the recording material. In addition, the image forming apparatus is provided with a circulating transporting path by which the recording material supplied from the recording material storing means and passed though the transfer means and the fixing means can reach the transfer means again and a control means for setting the fixing temperature in the fixing means so that the temperature before the first sheet of recording material is fixed is set at a higher temperature than a prescribed temperature set beforehand so as to carry out suitable fixing. At the same time, the control means controls so that the first sheet of recording material supplied from the recording material storing means is passed through the transfer means without having transferring carried out and passed through the fixing means and then having the transferring carried out by the transfer means to the first sheet of recording material after having the same transported by the circulating transporting path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
