PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved cooling capability as well as economical manufacture by improving a laser device of a style described in the beginning. SOLUTION: The laser device has at least one laser active solid body having a passive Q switch. The laser active solid body has at least one laser-active first region and a laser-inactive second region, which is disposed along a length axis of the laser device.
