PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary napkin including water-absorbent polymer and easily washable with water. SOLUTION: The sanitary napkin 1 comprises a front surface layer 2, a rear surface layer 3 and an absorbent layer 43, disposed between the layers 2 and 3 and including the water-absorbent polymer 41. The napkin 1 has a metal ion capturing agent 10 and can wash blood attached to the sanitary napkin with water after use. The napkin 1 includes 5-50g/m<SP>2</SP>water-absorbent polymer, whose centrifugal supporting volume is at least 20g/g and whose speed of water absorption is less than 25 seconds according to the vortex method, as the water-absorbent polymer 41 in the absorbent layer 43, and includes 200-2000 parts by mass of the metal ion capturing agent 10 relative to 100 parts by mass of the water-absorbent polymer. pH of ion-exchanged water, measured after the napkin 1 is immersed for 30 minutes in 500mL ion-exchanged water, whose water temperature is 25°C and whose pH is 6.5, is at least 6.5.
