PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine composed of a detergent slot installed on the upper part of a circulating water channel installed inside a washing tank in a way that it extends in vertical direction, and of a lint filter section beneath the detergent slot to prevent water from spilling out of the detergent slot and to improve the merchantability. SOLUTION: A cover member 26 that forms the circulating water channel 25 that extends in vertical direction is installed inside the washing tank 10, the detergent slot 32 is installed on the upper section of the cover member 26, and the lint filter section 38 is installed beneath it. The circulating water channel 25 is provided with detergent guiding pathways 50 installed on both right and left sides of the lint filter section 38 and several circulating water discharging holes 30 installed on a body section 11 of the washing tank 10 which faces the detergent guiding pathways 50. Even if the water discharged by a pumping action of a pump impeller 18 along with the rotation of a pulsator 15 increases inside the detergent guiding pathways 50, a part of the water is discharged outside of the washing tank 10 from the circulating water discharging holes 30 to prevent water from spilling out of the detergent slot 32.
