PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of contamination. SOLUTION: The culture device carries out the steps, including: (S31) executing normal culture, based on a culture schedule assigned by a user; (S34) taking out a culture container, by moving the culture container to a transportation position, (S33) when sterilization-starting command based on a sterilization schedule is informed; (S36)making a condition for carrying out the sterilization treatment by executing prearrangement of the sterilization treatment ; (S37) carrying out the sterilization treatment; (S39) returning the culture container to the state similar to the state before the sterilization treatment by carrying out normally set treatment after finishing the sterilization treatment ; and (S41) executing the normal culture based on the culture schedule assigned by the user again.
