The invention relates to a wheelchair (100, 100') including: a rigid chassis (1) which connects the rear wheels (12) and the front wheels (13); a seat structure with a backrest (2), a seat (5) and a footrest (8, 9); and a mechanism for adjusting the height of a chassis (1) with the seat (5), which mechanism comprises a variable length actuator (4); a user-actuated control element (11); and a transmission system which transmits an action from the user on the control element to the actuator (4), such that when the seat is lowered/raised it also undergoes a simultaneous relative forward/backward movement respectively in relation to the chassis. In addition, the footrest (8, 9) is connected to: the seat (5) at a coupling point (H) by means of a hinged coupling which enables the footrest (8, 9) to rotate in relation to said coupling point (H), and the height-adjustment mechanism and/or the chassis by means of a mechanism. |
