The method involves absorbing water vapor in an absorber (1) during low pressure of aqueous lithium bromide-solution. The water vapor is pumped on high pressure, and is driven out from the solution in a degassing device (2) under heat supply at high temperature level. The driven water vapor is guided into a condenser (9), and is condensed by the condenser. The condensed water vapor is supplied to a reabsorption circuit, and is received by a mixing absorber (8). The lithium bromide solution is supplied into a cooling part via a desorber (6). An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for executing a method for cold production.
