<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment and an image processing method, capable of efficiently performing image processing by use of a plurality of processing parts. <P>SOLUTION: Processing for converting an image of standard definition (SD) image quality to an image of high definition (HD) image quality is performed using a plurality of processing parts. The sum of the vertical edge number and the horizontal edge number of a designated area in a frame constituting a moving image of SD image quality is detected. Based on the detection processing result, the area is divided to areas in which the sum of the vertical edge number and the horizontal edge number is less than a predetermined value. The number of areas formed by dividing processing is compared with the number of processing parts, and the areas formed by dividing processing are assigned to the plurality of processing parts according to the comparison result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
