<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and stably producing hydrocarbon oil, wherein the oxygen content is sufficiently reduced and stability against oxidation at a practically applicable level for use as a fuel oil is obtained, when the hydrocarbon oil is produced by hydrogenation/deoxidation of a raw material oil comprising an oil-and-fat component derived from an animal or plant, and to provide a light oil for a diesel engine produced by this method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a hydrocarbon oil includes the following steps: a washing step of bringing into contact and mixing with a raw material oil comprising an oil-and-fat component derived from an animal or plant with an acidic aqueous solution to wash the raw material oil until the total content of an alkali metal component, an alkaline earth metal component and a transition metal component in the raw material oil becomes 15 ppm by mass or less; and a hydrogenation/deoxidation step of bringing the washed raw material oil produced in the washing step into contact with a hydrogenation catalyst under a pressurized hydrogen gas to produce the hydrocarbon oil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
