PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CaCu<SB>5</SB>type hydrogen-storage alloy containing misch metal (Mm) in which the contents of Nd and Pr in the Mm can be made low and whose service life characteristics can be maintained. SOLUTION: As such the hydrogen-storage alloy, this alloy contains the misch metal (Mm) 90-100% of the entirety of which is occupied by La and Ce, and has the parent phase of CaCu<SB>5</SB>type crystal structure. Crystalline size (by a Lorentzian method) obtained by X-ray diffraction measurement of the hydrogen-storage alloy is larger than 466 nm and the strain (by the Lorentzian method) is 0.18 or lower.
