PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in an electronic camera having the function of automatically adjusting information about focusing, even when an apparently different tendency is detected as the result of TVAF during calibration, the operation of the calibration is performed and there is a possibility of performing a correction with a wrong amount of calibration. SOLUTION: When the different tendency is detected as the result of TVAF during calibration, the operation of the calibration is discontinued, thereby preventing an erroneous correction.
