PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve humidity resistance and vibration resistance of a metallized film capacitor used for an automobile etc. SOLUTION: As an enveloping film 6 wound around an outer periphery of an element 2, a polypropylene film which has a multilayer structure comprising two or more layers of polypropylene films differing in melting point is used, and wound having the polypropylene film of the layer, having the lowest melting point, on an inner surface side. Consequently, polypropylene films, having a low melting point, which constitute the enveloping film 6 are fused in an aging process to come into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the element 2, and the enveloping film 6 uniformly shrinks, so the element 2 becomes uniform in tightness to eliminate slack, thereby improving the humidity resistance and vibration resistance of the element 2.
