PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device which suppresses backlash of an engagement gap between a cylindrical turning part of a rack and a nearly cylindrical bearing shape of a lens holding frame, then, achieves higher accuracy in automatic focusing. SOLUTION: The lens driving device is configured such that the lens holding frame 3 supporting the cylindrical turning part of the rack 5 includes two surfaces that form an angle with each other, and the cylindrical turning part of the rack 5 is biased and held by the two surfaces, thus, with the simple structure, the rack 5 is supported by the lens holding frame 3 without causing backlash.
