PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning image display system capable of displaying clear images by preventing frame-drop and occurrence of flickers, and to provide a scanning image display device. SOLUTION: The scanning image display system 1 includes a plurality of scanning image display devices 2, 3 including a light source 10 for emitting laser light, and a scanning means 30 having a first scanning means 31 for scanning the laser light emitted from the light source 10 toward a face to be projected 40 in a first direction and a second scanning means 33 for scanning the laser light in a second direction of a direction substantially orthogonal to the first direction. The first scanning means 31 has a higher scanning speed as compared with the second scanning means 33, and is a resonant scanning means. A plurality of the first scanning means 31 are heated with light and the scanning image display system controls resonant frequencies of the plurality of the first scanning means 31 in a period of at least a part of an image drawing period and a return line of the second scanning means 33.
