A hinge structureis shownfor usein portable electronic devices, making it possible to turn afirst housing part and asecond housing part of the device in relation to an axis of rotation of ahinge structure,thehinge structure comprisinga torsion spring, which has a first end and a second end and a longitudinal axis, and the first end of the spring is connected to afirst hinge half and the second end of the spring is connected to asecond hinge half in such a manner that the connection point of the second end of the spring is able to rotate around the axis of the spring.
