METHOD OF PRODUCING LIQUID EARTHWORM EXTRACT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING DRY EARTHWORM POWDER

[PROBLEMS] To provide a method of producing a liquid earthworm extract which scarcely suffers from jamming in filtration or a failure in recovering the supernatant in centrifugation, shows favorable handling properties and facilitates the removal of water-insoluble matters, and a method of producing a dry earthworm powder from the liquid earthworm extract obtained by the above method. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Living earthworms, which have been optionally ground, are incubated to give a liquid extract. It is preferable that the above-described living earthworms, which have been optionally ground, are incubated in the coexistence of a paste of a plant belonging to the family Alliaceae, a liquid extract thereof or a paste of the above-described plant belonging to the family Alliaceae from which insoluble matters have been removed. The incubation temperature preferably ranges from 10oC to 65oC. It is preferable that the living earthworms, which have been optionally ground, to be incubated are employed in a frozen state.
