发明名称 PROTECTIVE LAYER FORMATION METHOD USING INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective layer formation method which enables forming of a protective layer leaving no margin as it is, on the entire surface of an object for a patch part to be transferred to. <P>SOLUTION: First, a presensing mark region is formed in a part of a heat transferable protective layer of an intermediate transfer recording medium. Then, a patch part, as a part to be transferred to an object for a patch part to be transferred to, of the intermediate transfer recording medium and a part of the presensing mark, are half-cut simultaneously, and the recording medium is cut up to the heat transferable protective layer including a receptive layer. After these procedures, the heat transferable protective layer excepting the patch part and a part of the presensing mark region, which are half-cut, is released/removed from a resin layer of a sheet base material. Thus, the patch part is left as it is, in the intermediate transfer recording medium and a detection mark is formed. Further, a transferred image is formed in the receptive layer and the detection mark is detected, when the side of the transferable protective layer is superposed on the object for a patch part to be transferred to and the protective part is transferred again to the object.
