A lifting method for a 2-stroke diesel engine and a coupling jig therefore are provided to reduce deviation between the real center of gravity of the engine and the lifting direction thereof for keeping stabilized lifting state of the engine, thereby simplifying engine loading work to a desired place. A lifting method for a 2-stroke diesel engine includes the steps of separating a cylinder cover(31) coupled at an upper part of a jacket(30) from the jacket before lifting the engine, connecting a jig(40) to an external lifting system for lifting the engine in advance, wherein the cylinder cover is separated from the engine and the jig has a coupling hole to be coupled with a stay bolt protrude to the top of the jacket, and separating the jig from the lifting-finished engine and re-assembling the separated cylinder cover into the jacket.
