<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an operation load when a teacher nominates a student in a multiperson participation type and bidirectional remote lecture. <P>SOLUTION: A remote lecture system includes: student terminals used by each of the students attending a lecture; a lecturer terminal connected with the student terminals via a communication network and used by a lecturer; and a nomination order calculation processing section selecting, in accordance with a prescribed procedure, one nominated student identifier out of student identifiers identifying each of the plurality of student terminals when a prescribed input operation is performed to the lecturer terminal.
