PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion plug for preventing a coated position of an insulating member coated on a base section of a plug blade from changing. SOLUTION: In the insertion plug 1, a thermoplastic resin insulating member 5 is coated on the whole periphery of the cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the plug blade 4 on the outer surface of the base section 4c of the plug blade 4 including a pair of notch sections 4d, 4d formed on the base section 4c of the plug blade 4. After respective codes 3a, 3a of an electric wire 3 are connected to respective conductor connection sections 4b ..., of respective plug blades 4 ..., the plug body 2 is integrally molded by a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting resin so that connection sections between respective codes 3a, 3a and respective plug blades 4, 4 are covered except front ends at an inserting side of respective plug blades 4, 4 inserted into respective plug blade insertion ports Aa, Aa of a socket A.
