PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method in which digital sound recording is protected from being forged externally by adding a specific circuit or a program to a digital sound recording device, and also true or falsehood of digital sound recording can be confirmed. SOLUTION: The digital sound recording device of this invention includes an input unit, a storage unit, a data communication unit, and a processor, then further a write protection unit is included between the storage device and the data communication unit, thereby, it is prevented that write control is performed on the storage unit by the external unit.
