摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved production method of o-aminophenyl ketones of a key intermediate for producing herbicides. SOLUTION: A production method of o-aminophenyl ketones of formula I [wherein, R is a 3-6C alkyl group or a 1-6C haloalkyl group] is provided, wherein, a corresponding nitrile (R-CN) is reacted with borontrihalide to form a complex and the complex is reacted with aniline in the presence of a Lewis acid to obtain the objective substance at a high yield without requiring a complex isolation step.
