PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water flow detector of the type that outputs a signal upon detecting the turning of a valve body in the valve opening direction following its release, which is also possible even when the detector is used in a valve with a large caliber. SOLUTION: A rod 11 contacting an engagement part 10 provided protruding from the circumferential end of a valve body 6 is inserted into the valve body from outside. The rod 11 is axially supported in the way that it can turn toward the valve secondary side upon the release of the valve body 6. A switch means 14 is arranged near the end of the rod 11 part protruding outside the valve. The switch means 14 is actuated to output a signal when the rod 11 turns in the direction of valve secondary side after the release of the valve body 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
