PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strand cutting device which can cut strands without impairing and can provide an adequately smooth cutting. SOLUTION: The strand cutting device has a working area for an opposite blade (12) with rotary blades (11, 11') extending along a longitudinal axis of cutting edges (14, 14') of the rotary blades (11, 11') in rotation of the rotary blades (11, 11') in a strand cutting device (10) having the rotary blades (11, 11') and the opposite blade (12) for tobacco processing industry.
