<p>A method of controlling an air-conditioner is provided to improve reliability of detection of compressor trouble, minimize power consumption and easily confirm compressor trouble even in an indoor space. A compressor is turned on(S1) and it is determined whether the compressor has trouble(S2) in a trouble determination step. When it is determined that the compressor has trouble, the compressor is stopped and another compressor is operated as a backup compressor(S3) in a backup operation step. When the backup operation step is performed less than predetermined multiple times for a predetermined time, the trouble determination step and the following step are repeated. When the backup operation step is performed more than predetermined multiple times for a predetermined time, the other compressor is permanently operated as a backup compressor(S6).</p> |
