<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching auxiliary plate for a downlight appliance by which plate the downlight appliance can be attached stably and securely regardless of the state of the interior edge of a mounting hole on a ceiling material and work efficiency is improved. <P>SOLUTION: An appliance body 10 includes an enclosure 12 having an opening, an outer flange 14 formed on the opening of the enclosure 12, and a plurality of attaching springs 16a and 16b with which the enclosure 12 is held on the ceiling material 18. This appliance body 10 is inserted in the attaching hole 20 formed on the ceiling material 18 to attach the appliance body 10 to the ceiling material 18. The attaching auxiliary plate 30 has a perforated hole 32 formed in its center, the perforated hole 32 allowing the enclosure 12 to penetrate therethrough, and a cut portion 34 made by cutting off part of the peripheral portion of the perforated hole 32 from the perforated hole 32 to the outer edge of the peripheral portion. The attaching auxiliary plate 30 is placed on a back attaching portion 18b of the attaching hole 20 on the ceiling material 18, and the appliance body 10 is held on the interior edge of the perforated hole 32 with the springs 16a and 16b of the appliance body 10. The appliance body 10 is thus fixed in the attaching hole 20 as a result of holding the ceiling material 18 between the outer flange 14 and the auxiliary plate 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
