<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant compressor which can satisfactorily keep an electrical insulation property, has proper compatibility between carbon dioxide as refrigerant and refrigerator oil, can suppress foaming of carbon dioxide in the refrigerator oil and is excellent in wear resistance in a sliding part. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerant compressor comprises a motor and a refrigerant compressor part which is connected with the motor via a rotation shaft and compresses refrigerant, wherein the refrigerant is carbon dioxide and at least one kind of polyol ester represented by the following formulas (1) and (2) containing an antifoaming agent is used as the refrigerator oil; C-(CH<SB>2</SB>OCOR)<SB>4</SB>(1), (R-COOCH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>3</SB>-C-O-C-(CH<SB>2</SB>OCO-R)<SB>3</SB>(2).
