PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply controller which improves communication environment of power line communication. SOLUTION: A PLC conversion circuit 30d supplies communication state information 40 of a PLC communication line to a power supply control circuit 36d through a communication IF 38d. The power supply control circuit 36d determines a switching frequency to be used from the communication state information 40. The power supply control circuit 36d controls the switching frequency of a switching power supply 32d to the switching frequency thus determined through a switching frequency control circuit 34d. Furthermore, the power supply control circuit 36d delivers a switching frequency control signal 42 for controlling the switching frequency of other switching power supplies to the PLC conversion circuit 30d through the communication IF 38d. The PLC conversion circuit 30d supplies the switching frequency control signal 42 to other PLC adapters 18a-18c through a power line 10 and to an LAN terminal 24d through an LAN cable 22d.
