PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality of an organic light emitting device, owing to reduction in striped nonuniformity of luminance by restraining nonuniformity of the film thickness of an organic light emitting layer of the organic light emitting device. SOLUTION: An organic device manufacturing method prepares a substrate 10 having an element arranging area 50 forming a plurality of element areas arranged in a matrix shape in the X direction and the Y direction, and an ink application head having a plurality of discharge nozzles for discharging ink including an organic material. Among the plurality of discharge nozzles of the ink application head, a part of discharge nozzles is adjusted to an outer peripheral part in the X direction of the element arranging area, and residual nozzles of the plurality of discharge nozzles of the ink application head are adjusted to the inside of the element arranging area 50, and the ink is discharged while scanning in the Y direction. The ink application head is dislocated by one column or more in the X direction so as to overlap with a part of an element column subjected to discharging of the ink by previous scanning, and the discharge of the ink while scanning in the Y direction is repeated.
