PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an image display, and the image display such that manufacturing steps are decreased, display is performed only by voltage application needed for the display since a voltage of a pixel electrode is applied directly to a display unit, and deterioration in display characteristics such as a decrease in contrast and a decrease in display responsiveness can be prevented. SOLUTION: The image display includes: a substrate; a switching element formed on the substrate; the pixel electrode electrically connected to the switching element; and the display unit charged with a display material. In the method of manufacturing the image display, the pixel electrode is formed of conductive paste by a screen printing method and the conductive paste is cured to bond the display unit to the pixel electrode.
