PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily enhance the quality of image data obtained by imaging an optical image projected on a light receiving face in an imaging system. SOLUTION: When the maximum diameter of the effective area of a point image P1 projected onto the light receiving face 21 exceeds three pixels or more, a recovery coefficient K corresponding to the state of the point image P1 indicated by the first image data G1 is stored in a coefficient storage section 30. For first image data G1, such a recovering process F for creating second image data G2 equivalent to the first image data output from an imaging element 20 when the resolution of an imaging lens 10 is high is performed using the recovery coefficient K. The imaging lens includes, in order from the object side: a first lens group having positive power and composed of at least one lens; a second lens group having negative power and composed of at least one lens; and a third lens group composed of at least one lens, in which a lens located furthest on the image side has positive power.
