摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light intensity detection circuit capable of accurately detecting external light by properly compensating dispersion of an output characteristic of an optical sensor; and a display device. SOLUTION: An illuminance-output characteristic of a light sensing part LS is divided into at least two external illuminance regions, and the illuminance-output characteristics of the respective regions are approximated by straight lines. By compensating an output value L<SB>LS</SB>of the light sensing part by using an inclination compensation value ASLP and an offset compensation value AOFF for making the respective approximation lines coincide with an ideal characteristic line I, dispersion of a light sensor output characteristic due to a manufacturing process or the like is compensated, and correct external light illuminance L is detected.
