PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft connection mechanism for surely reducing shock during both high torque and low torque while simplifying the construction of a shock absorbing member. SOLUTION: The shaft connection mechanism comprises an input shaft and an output shaft, an internal tooth member provided on one of the input shaft and the output shaft, an external tooth member provided on either the input shaft or the output shaft on which the internal tooth member is not provided, and inserted into the internal tooth member for transmitting torque between the input shaft and the output shaft, and the shock absorbing member provided between the internal tooth member and the external tooth member for reducing shock during transmitting the torque. The shock absorbing member is formed of a single material and has a plurality of elastic properties depending on the rotation of the internal tooth member and the external tooth member.
